Microsoft Asia-Pacific

As President of Microsoft Asia Pacific, César Cernuda is responsible for leading the company’s commercial and consumer product, service and support offerings, as the APAC region continues its aggressive consumption of cloud, mobile, big data and social technologies.  

Cernuda was previously the vice president of Sales, Marketing and Services in Microsoft Latin America. Under his tenure, the Microsoft Latin America Area Headquarters (AHQ) was honored with the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility in 2011. In 2012, he joined the Microsoft Executive Bench, a distinct honor given to a select number of top Microsoft executives.

Prior to that role, Cernuda was the worldwide vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) sales and field operations. He was a member of the executive board managing the Worldwide Dynamics division (MBS).

Before joining Microsoft Spain in 1997, Cernuda worked at Banco 21 (currently known as Banco Gallego) and Software AG.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from ESIC University in Spain, and an MBA from IESE Business School at the University of Navarra in Spain. In May 2012, Cernuda completed the ‘Leadership for Senior Executives’ programme offered by Harvard’s Business School.
