Yin Han Cheng

The MSc in Innovation was one of my pivotal experiences that led me to where I am today. The entrepreneurial focus in this degree gave a great breadth of knowledge; our cohort was incredibly diverse in nationalities, seniority, and industries, and the relationship we build with each other - friends for a lifetime. MI provided great practical structures and mindset on how to approach innovation (design thinking) as well as the impetus to begin. Right out of graduation, I was hired by my dream company Ogilvy & Mather, and managed global and regional digital marketing campaigns. Then, I took the plunge and followed my passion and developed my capstone project into the business that I have today: www.y-age.net, an online community and learning platform to help people identify their passions, turn them into action and businesses that supported their ideal lifestyles. 

Ying Han is international and all things digital. She’s lived in five countries, speaks three languages and has worked in pharmaceuticals, IT, events and digital advertising. After graduating from the MI programme, and armed with an innovative mindset, the basics of entrepreneurship, trusted mentors, certifications and a ton of passion, she embarked on a 2 year location independent entrepreneurial journey. Her MI experience, along with her entrepreneurial journey after the programme,  inspired her to share the systems and knowledge in a book and is now an International Bestseller on Amazon. Her expertise is in business development, client servicing, social media strategy and management. You can find her rock climbing in Krabi, skydiving over the Napa Valley, diving in Dayang, and eating at supper clubs. She holds a degree in Economics, Environment and Politics from Claremont McKenna College, California’s top liberal arts college. Ying Han loves anything innovative and sustainable. She is passionate about optimising personal potential through personal media and nanotechnology.
