Chairman

Ms Wendy Koh Mui Ai

Group Chief Financial Officer
Mapletree Investments

Ms Koh, as the Group Chief Financial Officer, oversees the Finance, Information Systems & Technology, Tax, and Treasury functions of the Mapletree Group.

She is also a Non-Executive Director of Mapletree Logistics Trust Management Ltd, Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Ltd and MPACT Management Ltd. She also serves as the Chairman of the Singapore Management University (SMU) Advisory Board for the Real Estate Programme.

Prior to this, she was the Regional Chief Executive Officer, South East Asia (August 2014 to July 2019), heading the Group’s business in Southeast Asia. She was previously engaged by Mapletree as an advisor to review the Group’s strategy implementation from FY09/10 to FY13/14, and was involved in the formulation of Mapletree’s second Five-Year Plan.

Before joining Mapletree, Ms Koh was Co-head, Asia Pacific Property Research, at Citi Investment Research.

Ms Koh holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree specialising in Financial Analysis from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute.

Prof. Bert De Reyck

Dean, Lee Kong Chian School of Business
Singapore Management University

Prof. Bert De Reyck is the Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University, where he is also a Professor of Operations Management. Previously, Bert was the Founding Dean of the UCL School of Management at University College London. He has also held positions at London Business School, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Rotterdam School of Management, and taught at Columbia University, Hong Kong University, and CEIBS.

Bert’s research activities focus on business analytics, applications of artificial intelligence, and project management. His award-winning research is published in numerous leading academic and professional journals and it has seen applications in a wide variety of companies in the life sciences, aerospace, and transportation industries. He has also secured several research grants, industry sponsorships and projects with organisations such as the European Commision, Eurocontrol, UK Department for Transport, Network Rail, Heathrow Airport, the New York Transit Authority, Noble Group, Dunlop Aerospace, Eaton Aerospace, Vungle, Pfizer, Novartis, Shire, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Bert has also been the recipient of numerous teaching awards, for his courses on project management and business analytics at London Business School and the UCL School of Management. He has also developed and delivered executive education courses for a wide variety of organisations, including PwC, Lloyd’s, Diageo, Merck, Roche, Sanofi-Pasteur MSD, Shire, United Health Group, Sberbank, Oman Oil, and Continental.

Mr Wan Kwong Weng

Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd

Mr Wan Kwong Weng is responsible for all of legal, compliance, corporate secretarial, human resource as well as corporate communications and administration matters across all business units and countries. He is also the Joint Company Secretary of MIPL and the three Mapletree REIT Managers.

Prior to joining Mapletree as General Counsel in 2009, Mr Wan was Group General Counsel – Asia at Infineon Technologies for seven years, where he was a key member of its Asia-Pacific management team. He started his career as a litigation lawyer with one of the oldest law firms in Singapore, Wee Swee Teow & Co., and was subsequently with the Corporate & Commercial/ Private Equity practice group of Baker & McKenzie in Singapore and Sydney.

Mr Wan has an LL.B. (Honours) (Newcastle upon Tyne), where he was conferred the Wise Speke Prize, as well as an LL.M. (Merit) (London). He also attended the London Business School Senior Executive Programme. Mr Wan is called to the Singapore Bar, where he was awarded the Justice FA Chua Memorial Prize, and is also on the Rolls of Solicitors (England & Wales). He was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2012 and Public Service Star (BBM) in 2017.

Mr Wan is also appointed as a Member of the Valuation Review Board since 2019. In addition, he is a Member/ Secretary of the SMU Advisory Board for the Real Estate Programme.

Mr Pok Soy Yoong

Retired Ernst & Young Tax Partner

Mr Pok Soy Yoong is an independent non-executive director and the chairman of the audit and risk committees of Mapletree Industrial Trust Management Limited, and Singapore Cruise Centre Private Limited.

He was previously the head of tax of a big four accounting firm and the chief operating officer of the firm’s Far East tax practices.  He is among the leading experts on complex tax transactions and issues and is particularly noted for his leading role in the creation of the taxation framework for real estate investment trusts. 

He served as the lead editor of the authoritative book on Singapore taxation, The Law and Practice of Singapore Income Tax (1st and 2nd editions), and was the leader of this public-private sector collaborative project.

He was previously a member of the IRAS Board, and an independent non-executive director of Mapletree Logistics Trust Management Ltd, UE Engineering and Construction Limited, Perennial China Retail Trust Management Pte Limited, and Manulife US Real Estate Trust Management Limited.

Mr Ng Lang

CEO
Land Transport Authority

Mr Ng Lang has been appointed Chief Executive and Board Member of LTA, Singapore’s Land Transport Authority from September 2020.

Lang serves on the Board of Mandai Park Holdings Pte Ltd. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the NUS College of Design and Engineering.

Prior to joining LTA, Lang was the Chief Executive Officer of JTC from September 2017 to August 2020, CEO of the Urban Redevelopment Board from 2010 to 2017, and CEO of National Parks Board from 2006 to 2010. Mr Ng has also served in various capacities in the Singapore public service, including the Singapore Foreign Service and the public healthcare sector.

In 2018, he was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold) in recognition of his contribution to the Public Service.

Mr Wen Khai Meng

Mr Wen Khai Meng is former Senior Advisor, Group Strategy of CapitaLand Group.

Prior to that, Khai Meng held several senior appointments at the CapitaLand Group which include CIO of CapitaLand Limited, CEO of CapitaLand Singapore Limited, CEO of CapitaLand Commercial Limited, CEO of CapitaLand Financial Limited and Deputy CFO of CapitaLand.

Before joining CapitaLand, Khai Meng was the Director (Corporate Development) and Deputy Director (Land Administration) at the Urban Redevelopment Authority, Singapore. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Director (Infrastructure) at the Ministry of National Development, Singapore.

Khai Meng holds a Master in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Construction Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours).

Mr Michael Ngu

Michael began his career in the office of IM Pei in New York, where he was involved in a number of significant projects such as The Mount Sinai Modernization in New York City, the Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC. In 1988 he worked with the Kohn Pedersen and Fox (KPF) office in New York on the design of The Bond Building in Sydney, subsequently moving to Australia to work on the construction phase.

Michael joined architects 61 in 1990 as an Associate and was made a Director when the practice was incorporated in 1994. Among his significant body of work, he was a Principal Designer for a number of award-winning buildings in Singapore, including the Lippo Building, which won the SIA Design Award in 1995, and Capital Square, which won the East Asia Marble Architectural Award for Urban Landscape in 1999 and an Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage Award.

Michael has specific expertise in the design, design development and architectural/technical detailing of exterior cladding. He leads the practice overseas with projects in China, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East.

He is registered as an architect in the US, Australia and Singapore. He was previously a member of the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Architectural Design Panel and has been a member of the URA Design Advisory Panel since 2001

Yin Mei's practice includes advising on capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, investment funds, banking and finance, as well as regulatory issues She has acted on some of the largest and most complex public equity, debt and hybrid fund raising, takeovers, M&A and privatisation transactions. She has acted in numerous bank and financing transactions and regularly advises sponsors and fund managers in the establishment and syndication of private funds.

Yin Mei has been recognised by clients and key industry publications as a leader in her areas of practice. Her deep knowledge and expertise sees her involved in many first-time-to-the-market transactions, complex structuring and advising on regulatory issues.

Mrs Penny Goh

Penny is Senior Adviser of Allen & Gledhill. She was formerly the Co-Chairman and Senior Partner of our Firm as well as the Head of our Corporate Real Estate Practice.

She is a pioneer in Singapore's real estate investment trusts (REITs) market and is recognised as an outstanding name in the real estate industry with extensive experience advising on acquisitions, divestments, joint developments and complex real estate structures, having led on many of the markets' most significant transactions.

She had originated and advised on the first Singapore REIT listed on the Singapore Exchange and played a key role in developing he Singapore REITs market. She had advised on almost all of the landmark commercial buildings that frame the Marina Bay skyline.

Her Asia Pacific experience includes regional investments and joint ventures in Japan, Indonesia and China.

Penny is recognised for her "extensive experience in corporate real estate including a focus on REITs work" by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. Chambers Asia-Pacific describes her as a market leader, "innovative, creative and able to meet her clients' needs" with "an impressive clientele of corporations, investors and private equity property funds on a full range of real estate mandates".

She is an Honorary Legal Advisor to the Real Estate Developers Association of Singapore (REDAS) and is a member of the Advisory Board for Real Estate Programmes, Singapore Management University.

Currently she serves as the Independent Non-Exceutive Board Chairman of HSBC Bank(Singapore) Limited and as a member of its Audit and Risk Committees.

Sher is also an Independent Director of Keppel Corporation Limited and a member of its Audit, Risk and Remuneration Committees. She is also on the board of Singapore Totalisator Board.

She was formerly Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Keppel REIT Management Limited, the manager of Keppel REIT and she was the Lead Independent Director of Mapletree Logistics Trust Management Ltd, manager of Mapletree Logistics Trust where she chaired the Nominating and Remuneration Committee.

Ms Priya Kini

Ms. Priya Kini is MD & Country Head of Commercial Banking, HSBC Singapore.

Priya joined HSBC in 2001 and was most recently the Head of Global Banking in Singapore, where she played a key role in building out the regional coverage model and strengthening the business across HSBC’s full range of financial solutions across corporate and institutional clients. Priya has previously worked in roles spanning Banking, Treasury and Capital Markets and Risk Management across Mumbai, London and Hong Kong.

Priya is a member of the HSBC Singapore Executive Committee. Priya is also a Non‐Executive Director on the Board of HSBC Bank Mauritius Limited and serves on the Advisory Board of SMU Real Estate Programme. As a passionate believer in diversity, Priya supports several Diversity & Inclusion programmes and serves as a Champion and Mentor at the Financial Women’s Association (FWA), Singapore.

Priya holds a Post‐Graduate Degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and is a Chartered Banker Institute accredited Green and Sustainable Finance Professional.

Prof Francis Koh

Professor Emeritus of Finance (Practice), Lee Kong Chian School of Business
Singapore Management University

Prof. Francis Koh is Professor Emeritus of Finance at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management (SMU). He is the Lead Independent Non-Executive Director of Manulife US REIT. He is also an Independent Director of China Taiping Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd., and Board Member of the Singapore Chinese Girls’ School.

Prior to joining SMU, Francis was employed by the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and the National University of Singapore (NUS.)

He had been active in consulting, executive development and public service. He was appointed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to the Financial Advisers Industry Review (FAIR) Panel in 2012 and by the Ministry of Law to the Advisory Panel on Money Lending in 2014. Organizations he had consulted for included Citibank, IMAS and OCBC Bank.

In 2012, the University of St Gallen awarded Francis an honorary doctorate in Economics. In 2013, he was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Silver) by the Singapore Government. In 2016, WealthBriefingAsia awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Wealth Management.

Francis has published in various academic journals. His academic articles were published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Journal of Business Venturing and the Asia-Pacific Journal of Management. He has authored book  chapters  and  presented  papers  at  international conferences,  including  meetings  of  the American Finance Association, Asia-Pacific Finance Association and Academy of International Business.

Francis obtained the degrees of BBA (Hons) from the University of Singapore, MBA from the University of British Columbia and Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Public Accountant of Singapore and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).
