Marketing

The research interests of the group are diverse and our expertise falls in the three broad areas of: Consumer Behaviour, Quantitative Modeling, and Strategy. For more information about the specific interests of each faculty member, please click here. The strength of the group is reflected in the fact that all of us received training from reputable PhD programmes, such as those at Columbia University, Emory University, University of Florida, and University of Toronto. This has helped to ensure a level of research productivity that we can be proud of. Our publications appear in the top journals of the field, including Marketing Science, Management Science, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing Research, and the Journal of Marketing.

We offer the Marketing major at the undergraduate level. Our graduates have gone on to build illustrious careers as brand managers, business development executives and consultants, in a wide variety of industries, including consumer goods, financial services, tourism, technology, retailing, industrial goods and services, advertising, and marketing research. The group is proud to say that we do well on the teaching front as well – our members are consistently named to the Dean’s Honour List for Teaching and have received university-level nominations and awards for Teaching Excellence.

We also have a PhD in Marketing programme with high quality students and urge those interested in an academic career in marketing to explore our programme for the rigorous training that it offers.
