Neethiya Sadagopal

Having started my career with agency positions, after a decade of steady professional growth, I was eager to break the monotony of my daily routine and accelerate my learning which I felt had become limited and highly confined to a single industry, due to my in-house role. Additionally, my personal interest in the digital space, propelled me to look for an avenue where I can better understand the evolution of the communications scene. 

 

It was during this period that I came across the MCM programme offered by SMU. The programme with its up-to-date curriculum while relevant to the current period, also offered a fresh perspective to some of the traditional methodologies in the field of communications. The multi-ethnic, industry and seniority class mix coupled with the cross-border learning made possible through the partnered programmes with USI and UCLA, offered the perfect blend in fulfilling my learning and development needs. 

 

Since the completion of the programme, I have returned to the agency environment taking on a new challenge in a leadership role. The programme has given me a new world perspective on my career and an amazing network of professional and personal friends who continue fueling that perspective, long after the programme.
