Lee Kong Chian Professor of Human Resources Filip Lievens and three other co-authors have been given the Scholarly Achievement Award by the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management (AoM).
The four co-authors were given the award for the paper “Revisiting meta-analytic estimates of validity in personnel selection: Addressing systematic overcorrection for restriction of range”. This paper was published in the Journal of Applied Psychology in December 2021.
The award is given each year to recognize the author or authors of a paper identified as the most significant published article during the previous year in HR management.
Professor Lievens has been the recipient of numerous awards in the past. In 2021, he was given the Jeanneret Award for Excellence in the Study of Individual or Group Assessment from the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology. In 2020, a paper of his won the Joyce and Robert Hogan Award for Personality. He was also ranked in the top 1% of the World’s Scientists in the field of Business and Management.
