SMU Mindfulness Conversation 2014
Exploring Mindfulness in Different Domains of Life
Dear Friends,
Please mark your calendar and join us for our second Mindfulness Conversation event at Singapore Management University on Friday 5 December 2014 from 3pm to 7pm.
SYNOPSIS
The topic of mindfulness -- or open, present-centred awareness -- is becoming increasingly popular. This is at least partly because mindfulness can be applied in many areas including wellbeing, leadership development, education, and parenting. Thus, in this year’s Mindfulness Conversation, we will together explore the role of mindfulness in different domains of life, including education and work. Join us for a conversation that brings together experts from both research and practice. They will share evidence and insights into what it means to be mindful and what results from being mindful. We will also engage in short mindfulness practices to make the concept come alive! The conference is targeted at anyone with a curiosity to learn more about mindfulness and its applications to various domains of life, no prior knowledge or practice is required.
