Jay Ng is Vitol's Chief Financial Officer - Asia and Head of Strategic Business Development - Asia. Based in Singapore, Jay is also a member of Vitol Group's Board of Directors and Executive Advisory Committee and holds director positions in various other Vitol Group companies like Vitol Asia Pte Ltd and Vitol International Shipping Pte Ltd. Jay also sits on the Advisory Board of Singapore Management University, Lee Kong Chian School of Business.
Jay joined Vitol in 2008 as the Treasurer - Asia Pacific and Middle East. In 2018, Jay was appointed as the Asia Pacific Head of Origination and Business Development. In his capacity as Head of Origination and Business Development, Jay was responsible for the development and expansion of new and strategic business activities for Vitol in the Asia Pacific region.
Jay was originally from Malaysia and is now a Singaporean citizen. He graduated from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree. Jay was an Asean scholarship holder and is currently a member of both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of UK (ACCA).
Jay began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997 before joining BNP Paribas in 1999. Jay, as a Director in the bank was responsible for arranging and structuring commodity transactions with special focus in emerging countries, and also for the development of relationships with the international trading companies for the bank.
