Sunita presently serves as an advisor and board member for multiple startup ventures. With nearly three decades of experience, she began her career in the print industry with Time Warner and SPH, transitioning to digital in 2005. Her expertise spans media, technology, and consumer platforms.
Initially, Sunita worked with Time Warner and SPH in the print media sector for the first ten years of her career. However, her venture into the digital domain established her as an industry authority, particularly in scaling global brands across the APAC region. Over the past two decades, she has emphasized the importance of tailoring strategies to the diverse cultures and business landscapes of countries such as India, Japan, Korea, ANZ, and SEA.
As the APAC director at Facebook, Sunita gained profound insights into advertising and automation. Joining the company in its nascent stages in the region, she played a pivotal role in introducing the concept of e-commerce through Facebook pages to brands. Her tenure at Spotify and Twitch involved not only managing internal finances but also representing these companies externally, spearheading market and product launches, and advocating for diversity, mental health, and career development.
These experiences equipped her with a deep understanding of digital subscriptions and cross-functional team management for revenue generation. Currently, Sunita serves on the board of GigLifePro, a music technology firm, and provides advisory services to various tech startups. Additionally, she holds a founding board position at Talent Trust, a charity focused on skills-based volunteering, facilitating collaborations between businesses, professionals, and charitable organizations to drive sustainable change.
