Aaron Low is a Principal of Lumen Advisors LLC in San Francisco and Director of Lumen Funds where he co-leads investment strategies in the Lumen Global Fund on global stocks, bonds and currencies. He is also responsible for managing Lumen’s operations in Asia. Aaron sits on the Board of Trustees for the Singapore Government Pension Fund.
He is also a Senior Investment Advisor to Harvest Fund Management Company in Beijing, and was previously on the Board of Advisors for Bosera Asset Management in Shenzhen.
Before joining Lumen Advisors, Dr. Low was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President at PIMCO where he led the investment team in Asia economic and trade strategies. He was Head of the Portfolio Management team for Asia x Japan managing global and emerging market portfolios. Prior to PIMCO, Dr. Low was Head of Fixed Income, Asia and Senior Portfolio Manager for Dresdner RCM Global Investors.
Dr. Low is a Council Member on the Global Capital Markets Policy Council of the CFA Institute after chairing the Asia-Pacific Advocacy Committee from 1999 to 2005. He is currently the Deputy President of CFA Singapore. Aaron sits on both the Board of Advisors of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (iMAS) and Temasek Wealth Management Institute.
He is currently on the Board of Editors of the Journal of Futures Markets (JFM) and is a referee for the Financial Analyst Journal (FAJ) in the US. He is a Visiting Professor at China European International Business School (CEIBS), and an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Dr. Low graduated with a PhD in International Financial Economics from the Anderson School, UCLA, and an honors Engineering degree from NUS. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
