Kathy Zhang

Kathy Zhang is a self-made entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of experience in capital markets and investor relations. She co-founded Financial PR in Singapore in 2001 and led it as Chairperson and CEO for 21 years, growing it into a leading regional consultancy serving 320+ listed companies across Asia. Under her leadership, the firm was listed in Beijing and became part of BlueFocus Communications (SZSE: 300058), Asia’s largest marketing group.

In 2021, Kathy stepped down after co-authoring a book on Performance Investor Relations™ with a former Chinese securities regulator. She has raised VC and PE funding, led cross-border M&A, and took her firm public. As an active investor, she participated VC rounds in companies like XtalPi, which IPOed on HKEX (2228.HK) in 2024 at a US$2.8B valuation. Kathy is currently a corporate advisor to Fangyuan Capital, focusing on biopharma VC investments.
