Organised in partnership with Singapore Management University and Cass Business School
S$24,000 scholarship award and an apprenticeship in London and Singapore to be won
Threadneedle Investments, a leading international investment manager, has announced its Threadneedle Investment Award 2013 in partnership with the Singapore Management University (SMU) and Cass Business School (Cass), part of City University London. It has issued a challenge to investment and finance students studying at SMU and Cass to address and debate a current economic dilemma affecting markets, for the chance to win one of two S$24,000 scholarship prizes and a one-of-its-kind apprenticeship.
To participate, students are required to write an essay addressing an assigned economic question relevant to their region. The three most outstanding submissions from each university will be shortlisted and their authors will then be invited to present their ideas to a judging panel of academics and executives from Threadneedle and their respective universities. One winner from each university will be selected and awarded S$24,000 towards their tuition fees, paid for by Threadneedle, as well as an apprenticeship at the firm’s European and Asian headquarters.
Threadneedle’s well-established investment philosophy, based on collaboration, exchange of ideas and active debate has been fundamental to its success and strong track record of out-performance for its clients. Threadneedle believes that in today’s increasingly challenging investment market, investors need to out-think in order to out-perform, and this is the very basis from which this Award has formed. By partnering with SMU and Cass, Threadneedle is not only bringing together organisations that are current leaders in investment thinking, but also playing its part in sculpting tomorrow’s investment leaders.
This is the second year Threadneedle has offered the Investment Award, but it is the first time it has partnered with SMU. Don’t miss out on this potential career changing opportunity to win a one-of-its-kind scholarship and apprenticeship with leading international investment manager.
