The Mindfulness Initiative @ SMU is excited to bring you a new round of mindfulness workshop and courses starting in the new year. Each of these workshop/courses offers something slightly different, focusing either on the workplace and decision-making, personal health, well-being or simply finding your way life. So, we are sure there is something perfect for you! Our courses are eligible for claim under the SkillsFuture Credit subsidy scheme and we offer large discounts for the SMU community.
Whether you have just heard of mindfulness or have a practice yourself these courses will offer a great way for you to deepen your practice and join the growing mindfulness community in Singapore.

Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT)
This course provides a fast and efficient introduction to mindfulness. It is perfect for individuals in the workplace who are confronting the challenges of an active life.
The program is a condensed training for Strategic Awareness (SA) to enhance decision making for leaders and any person aspiring skilful decision-making to ensure sustainable wellbeing. The course incorporates research from the fields of behavioural economics, positive psychology and the contemplative sciences.
After completing the course, you will also have the benefit of meeting other people interested in mindfulness in the workplace and can join the Mindfulness Professionals Network Singapore.

ACT with Mindfulness

This 8-week course is perfect for anybody who wants a good introduction and training in mindfulness. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) was the first secular mindfulness course available to the public and is now taught all over the world, including fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams and top universities.
It provides a range of mindfulness practices that can be easily integrated into modern life. While it deals extensively with managing stress it also covers wider topics in everyday life. This course has been extensively studied by scientists and reliably shown to improve well-being, focus and, of course, reduce stress.
