Requirements of the Degree
Note: You may only proceed to advance to the following links below to view the requirements of your degree after successful matriculation. You will need your student ID and your SMU Email address.
The academic requirements required to be met for a student to graduate are:
- Satisfactorily complete all courses as required by the programme with a passing grade for each course.
- Attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50, whereby at least 60% of the overall course units requirement (number of course units to be rounded down to the nearest whole number) must contribute towards the cumulative GPA computation.
- Complete all other graduation requirements (unless specifically exempted) such as the SMU Professional Development Series.
Students who have completed all coursework requirements for their programme of study but do not attain the minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 will have their candidature terminated within 2 weeks from the final term results release.
