Summer Camps
The Operations Management (OM) Summer Camp is an annual event that is organized to bring together faculty from the OM group at SMU and other faculty members from the leading universities in the world to exchange research ideas in anticipation of future collaboration opportunities. The format is that OM faculty members at SMU present their cutting-edge research papers, and distinguished researchers in the OM field (many of whom hold editorial positions in the top OM journals) discuss these papers to provide feedback. These distinguished researchers also have individual meetings with the OM faculty at SMU to provide a detailed feedback on their research program. The faculty and postgraduate students from the local research institutions within Singapore (such as INSEAD, NUS, NTU and SUTD) are invited as participants, and thus, the OM Summer Camp also presents an opportunity for the local OM community to establish research collaborations.
