The OBHR group presently has twenty faculty members. Vadera (Ph.D., University of Illinois). In addition, we have a number OBHR practitioners and business folks who, as adjunct faculty, offer specific, skill-based courses.
In line with SMU's mission and vision, the OBHR group excels in teaching, research and service. We conduct core courses such as "Leadership & Team Building" and "Management of People at Work," and offer a sizeable number of elective courses such as "Organisational Change and Design," "Cross-Cultural Management and the Management of Diversity," and "Negotiation Skills for Business" (see link for a full list of courses offered). The OBHR major is relatively new, having been launched in August 2005. In addition, we are all active in research and have published widely in reputable journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organisation Science, Organisational Behaviour and Human Decision Processes, and Personnel Psychology.
